I really enjoyed this book. It has Tchaikovsky's signature exploration of distributed intelligence/ alternative intelligence themes. It wasn't what I expected at all, but it was pretty tremendous. Not sure it beats [b:Children of Time|25499718|Children of Time (Children of Time, #1)|Adrian Tchaikovsky|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1431014197l/25499718._SY75_.jpg|45276208] for me, but it's definitely up there with my top Tchaikovsky books.
The final act is a very bizarre, unsettling read, but I like where the story goes.
